One year. I'm Floating!

Friends and family, it has been the most exhilarating year of my life. One year of wearing this black nametag and spending every waking moment striving to be where our Savior would be and do what he would do. This week we saw miracles that we cannot explain or take any credit for. We found a 15 year old girl named Hilary who was so happy that we gave her a Book of Mormon and who desperately needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ to rescue her from her tough life situation. An appointment canceled so we knocked a neighbors door and found Mary Ellen, an old lady who's biggest fear was that she was going to die and no one would find her because she is all alone. She cried as she told us that she knew God sent us to her and that she was so excited to learn what we had to share. She then prayed that we would be floating all night and that the good Lord would carry us to everyone else who needed Him tonight. And that night we found 4 different people. The whole while I felt like I was literally floating. It's a cool thing to feel like your feet are just being lead and you aren't even sure where you are going. I love standing in His place and knowing that you are right where you need to be. That's the greatest thing I've felt over this year. On another note, we showed up to dinner with the Lanes, who said, "Hey hope you don't mind but we invited our friend from med school and he invited his girlfriend." We had a barbeque by the poolside of their complex which lead very naturally into a lesson about the gospel and again helped us find two people who have been searching their entire life for the truths that we now have because of the Restoration. This couple understands their covenant to not only live, but share the gospel and knows what it means to be a missionary in every aspect of their life. Even in amongst all the busy craziness of med school and starting up a family they are sharing and inviting their friends and making time to be part of this the greatest work. It truly is the most important thing happening on the Earth today and none of us have any good excuse as to why we don't participate in it. Jesus Christ has asked us to share His gospel. Prophets and Apostles have encouraged us to invite others to come and see. It brings joy like you can't even imagine. No excuse is valid for not accepting the call and missing out on that Joy that is yours the second you choose to participate. This weeks pictures: -the "fake lakes". The most pathetic hilarious part of our area. People live on these tiny fake lakes in the middle of the desert and drive their boats in circles on them. -the temple and a beautiful valley sunset. - the OG MTC crew who all made it a year! - Carmela, a little old Italian Lady we are teaching. She speaks no English. Sister Sisto from Italy was just transferred down here and lives with us. They speak the same dialect. You cannot tell me that God is not aware of every one of His children.
