Zone 1 Zone FUN

Another good week here! Being a missionary in Flagsfaff is Legendary and I never ever want to leave. We decided to have our combined district council outside since it is so nice in Sedona right now (that is where we meet for district council. The drive there is the prettiest thing in this world. It even beats Logan's pass.) The missionaries up here are way too extra and I love them all. President said he "STACKED FLAG" this transfer and we are all so stoked for the hastening of the work that is happening here. It's a whole different world than the valley. Sad news, Kat had everything lined up for a baptism and we were helping to plan the wedding and then her boyfriend said that he wasn't ready for this kind of commitment yet. It broke her heart and ours. We are praying for a miracle! She wants it so bad. We are working with him, he just doesn't have the same drive or goals that she does. I hate agency sometimes. But the Blie kids, Kenya (12), Keenan (10), and Kadashia (8), moved their baptism up to this Friday! We are so excited and have our work cut out for us. This part member families lives revolve around Kenya, who is crazy good at basketball and has scouts all over her already. So she's been to church but has only had one lesson and wants to be baptised on Friday with her siblings. So this week we will be over there everyday teaching and preparing our friends for baptism! The miracle of this week happened when we found the Zukowsky family! The Elders had helped them move into our area and then told us to go over to see if we could teach them. We went and knocked and at first it was a big time no and door slammed in our face. But the spirit just kept pressuring both of us to go back right after we got turned away so we did. This time we said "Hey, we know you said you weren't interested in a message, but the Elders that helped you move told us how awesome you were and how you have a really cool family story. Would you be interested in family history?" This time he perked up and told us that since he sent us away he had been feeling really bad and was wishing that we would come back because he noticed that there was something different about us. He told us that his wife was from India and used to be Hindu and how he's heard about family search and though it was cool. We set up a time to come back and get him started on family history, but him and his wife and 2 kids had so many questions about the priesthood and plan of salvation that we ended up teaching them the whole time instead! And since I taught the Hindi family in my last area I knew all about the culture and connected with them and they really respected that. And they love us and we are going back for authentic Indian food and to teach them more next week! Literally every opportunity God has given me in my life has prepared me for someone specific that I would come across on my mission. He is in the details of everything always. Anyways that's all for this week! Romans 8:28 - All things work together for good to them that love God. John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments. Therefore; ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THOSE WHO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. Simple as that. This transfer is already my hardest one of my mission, but living this way brings me happiness, even in the midst of the trials and negativity I am surrounded with everyday. It gets harder and it gets happier. Those two seem to always go together. I love you all! Thanks for all your prayers and support always. I feel it. Sister Hardy
